The Right Material Selection
Over 100 employees produce high quality thread guides for you in our
Chinese branch under German management. The QS-Surveillance
during the production guarantees a constantly high standard
quality according to your requirements. Our own moulding centre
guarantees good valued and precise moulds with highest
flexibility and promptness.
With 6 different materials to choose from for your thread
guides, the choice appears somewhat difficult. The following
short characteristics shall be a guideline to help you choose
the best material for your applications. If in doubt, please
contact us. We will find the right material for you.
DOCERAM A-997 Alumina is of 99,7% purity. Its very small
grain size of 1,6µm results in a fine and fibre friendly
surface. In combination with a very good hardness and wear
resistance, our A-997 is the ideal material for all applications
with high speeds and tensions. A-997 is surface finishing from
satinated to mirror and high precision with narrow tolerances.
Ideal for all Chemical Fibre Applications!
Similar to our A-997, our DOCERAM A-99S is fibre
friendly, wear resistant and mechanically strong. The surface is
good, although it can not reach the excellent performance of our
A-997.
DOCERAM Slim Alumina is of a 95-97% purity. This
standard quality is of a good hardness and wear resistance. With
a lower purity than A-997, our Slim is available in several
colours: ivory, white, pink, red and salmon. Slim is fibre
friendly and can be used for all standard applications which
require a good valued, low cost product.
DOCERAM Tianit is a very fibre friendly Titania. Only
half as hard as our A-997, Tianit is less wear resistant. With
its soft surface, it will however treat your thread nice and
smoothly, e.g. decrease the frequency of filament breakage.
Tianit is the perfect material, where a fine, tender surface is
vital for the application. Widely applied in yarn texturing.
DOCERAM Spark is of a distinguished shiny black. Because
of its electrical conductivity, DO CERAM Spark is used in
applications with glass, carbon and man made fibres where it has
an antistatic effect. It is a Titania, thus very fibre friendly.
Only half as hard as our A-997, Spark is less wear resistant.
Spark is the perfect material, where a fine, tender antistatic
surface is required.
DOCERAM Electrowhite is a good standard ceramic quality
from Steatite. It usually comes with a glazed surface is cost
effective, and can be used where basic ceramical properties are
needed: Corrosion-, heat-resistance and insulation. The price is
similar to porcelain, but it is tougher, more precise and
optically nicer. |
